Created in the Spring semester of 2011 at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, for Professor Alfredo Ortiz' class "Organizational Sustainability." This project (AKA "Frankenstein" ... no really, that was the name of the class' culminating assignment) focuses on developing a sustainable business model from the ground up. I personalized and correlated this work within the context of an up-and-coming SCO called EarthAccess.
This website is designed for the development team of an emerging
nonprofit organization, EarthAccess; however the information available is useful for
any organization looking to improve their overall sustainability. The goal of this project is
to express the feasibility of implementing a sustainability strategy into a nonprofit business model. This project will consolidate information collected in readings, lectures, and research about the various aspects of sustainability in social change organizations (SCOs).
This information is consolidated within the context of developing a multi-faceted sustainability strategy for this emerging SCO, EarthAccess. This site will serve as a hub of relevant information for the EarthAccess crew, which will continue to expand throughout the development process. This site will assist the board of EarthAccess in understanding the depth of organizational sustainability and provide planning tools for developing sustainable business practices from the ground up.
